Cr12
High carbon£¨2.30%£© high chromium 1.2080 flats cut from block and a limited range in round bar diameters. This tool steel specification is noted for its resistance to abrasion. It offers excellent dimensional stability in hardening. After heat treatment the tool steel is hard£¨¼áÓ²£©, durable£¨ÄÍÓã©, dense£¨ÃÜʵ£©, and is immune from sinking in use. It offers a measure of corrosion resistance when polished. In general, the applications of 1.2080 tool steel resemble those of 1.2379 but it should be remembered that 1.2080 has better wear resistance of the two steels and is preferred for such items as shear blades. Owing to its higher wear resistance, 1.2080 tool steel is slightly more difficult to grind than 1.2379.
Cr12MoV
Dimensionally stable, high wear resistance against abrasive and adhesive, high hardenability good toughness, edge-holding ability and compression strength, low distortion, non-deforming, full hardness with air hardening in any dimension, suitable for bath nitriding. The tool steels (cross section300-400mm maximum) are quenched thoroughly. At the temperature of 300-400℃ £¬the hardness and wear resistance is still excellent. It has higher toughness and better dimensional stability in quenching than Cr12.
Cr12Mo1V1

A tool steel grade offering very high wear resistance hardenability and toughness 1.2379 tool steel hardens in air with a low order of movement and offers a measure of corrosion resistance when polished with high oxidation resistance, little deformation through heat treatment It is used for tools operating under conditions of severe wear and abrasion or as an alternative to oil hardening tool steel grades when long runs are required.
O2/1.2842/9Mn2V
Nice quenching intensity, dimensional stability and good wear resistance. It is mainly used forprecision instruments, small-sized cold pressing mold, ornaments.
